Cody was born and raised in Weatherford, Oklahoma.  She received her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Oklahoma State University and her law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.  During law school, she served on the editorial board of the Oklahoma Law Review.

Cody primarily practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, and estate and trust administrations. She also handles minor and adult guardianships. Cody is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and Oklahoma County Bar Association.  She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.  Additionally, she was an associate member of the William J. Holloway, Jr. American Inn of Court in 2014-2015.  She has been published in both the Oklahoma Law Review and Oklahoma Bar Journal.

Prior to joining the firm, Cody served as a Blackstone Fellow in Sofia, Bulgaria, providing policy advocacy and legal aid to migrants and refugees and promoting religious freedom.  She worked as a legal intern for the OU Office of Legal Counsel in Secure Research Operations and for the Cleveland County District Attorney’s Office.  Cody also received a Coats Fellowship to clerk in the appellate division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Oklahoma.  

Before earning her law degree, Cody worked as a high school teacher at North Crowley High School and Grapevine High School in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.
